Privacy notice
COMFORT COMPANY GROUP LTD (company 17535573) is the controller of the information described here. Write to us at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, or email hello@comfortcompany.co.uk.
What this covers
This notice explains what happens to the information you give us through this website, and what we set on your device while you are here. It applies to comfortcompany.co.uk and to the enquiry forms on it.
What we collect, and when
We only collect what you type into a form and send. Nothing on this site asks for information in the background.
- Your name, and the ways you asked us to reach you — email address and telephone number.
- Your postcode, and the address if you give it. We need the postcode to know whether we install where you live and to price the work.
- What you tell us about the job: how many rooms, and anything you write in the message box.
- Any photographs or floor plans you choose to attach. These are optional and the form works without them.
- Which page you were on when you sent the enquiry, the site that sent you to us, and — if you arrived from an advert — the identifier Google adds to the link so we can tell which advert it was.
Why we are allowed to hold it
When you send an enquiry you are asking us to quote for work, so we handle your details to take the steps you asked for before any contract — that is our lawful basis for the enquiry itself.
For the cookies described below we rely on your consent, which you give or refuse in the banner and can change at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you, to arrange and carry out the video survey, to prepare your quotation and — if you go ahead — to plan and complete the installation.
We do not sell it. We do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need to in order to do the work:
- The installation team assigned to your job, who receive the survey plan for your property.
- The companies that run our systems on our behalf — website and database hosting, file storage for the photographs you send, and the email and messaging services we reply through. They act on our instructions and for no other purpose.
- Anyone we are legally required to tell, which in practice means almost never.
How long we keep it
If you become a customer we keep the record of your installation for as long as the guarantees run and for six years afterwards, because we may need it to honour them and to meet our tax obligations.
If you enquire and do not go ahead, we keep the enquiry for two years so that we recognise you if you come back, and then delete it.
You can ask us to delete your details sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep something.
Cookies
Nothing is set until you answer the banner. If you say no, no advertising or analytics cookies are set at all and the site works exactly as it does otherwise.
If you say yes, we use Google Ads cookies to see which advert brought you here and whether the visit led to an enquiry, and product analytics to understand which parts of the site people use. Neither is used to build a profile of you for anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to what we are doing with it. Write to us at the address at the top of this notice, or email us, and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
